Performance boost for York Tempo air-cooled chillers

The second generation of York Tempo air-cooled chillers builds on the characteristics of the original units — quiet, efficient and compact. Available from Johnson Controls, there are 10 models with cooling capacities from 310 to 521 kW in standard or high-efficiency versions. The 310 kW high-efficiency model achieves Eurovent Class A with an EER of 3.10 and a sound level of just 54 dB(A). Other innovations include all-aluminium micro-channel condensers, which significantly improve heat transfer and reduce size, weight and refrigerant. Multiple scroll compressors increase efficiency at full and part load. With a high-efficiency evaporator, a Tempo chiller can achieve ESEER values as high at 4.33.
