Megaflo unvented hot water reaches 21st anniversary

This year marks the 21st anniversary of the introduction of Heatrae Sadia’s Megaflo HE unvented hot-water system — which continues to evolve to meet new market and technical requirements.

The market for unvented systems has been driven by consumer demand for powerful showers and fast-filling baths.

An important feature of Megaflo HE is its internal expansion air gap and floating baffle system.

Recent developments include improved insulation and the minimising of heat losses with an insulated cover for the temperature/pressure-relief valve. The product now also includes a wiring centre and drain valve.

A solar version has also been developed (Megatech), as well as a system-fit option with units preplumbed and prewired to simplify installation on site and with a consistent electrical and plumbing layout.
