Preventing pressure shock in pressure boosted systems
AquaTech’s Pressmain AquaVent valve helps to prevent damaging pressure shocks when pressure-boosted supply pipework is drained down and refilled. If a system’s pipework has been drained, intentionally or otherwise, there is the possibility of pressure shocks when the pressure booster restarts.
AquaVent allows a system to be properly vented at all times, without wasting water, to prevent shock conditions developing. Air is released as the system is filled, and the valve then closes. They are compatible with the booster sets of most manufacturers.
These devices are suitable for use with potable water and have an operating temperature range from 5 to 70°C. Maximum pressure is 6 bar, with a maximum allowable pressure of 13.5 bar.
