Windhager introduces two new biomass boilers

Windhager

Windhager’s range of biomass boilers include the BioWIN plus wood pellet boiler (pictured) and the LogWIN wood gasification boiler.

A new burner bowl on the BioWIN plus enhances the supply of combustion air and improves efficiency. The suction turbine has been redesigned to make the unit more compact. User controls are easier to read, and the panel gives information on when the next cleaning cycle is required. Outputs range from 2.9 to 26 kW as a single boiler, and boilers can be cascaded to offer 52 and 76 kW.

The LogWIN wood gasification boiler is said to have the largest stainless-steel fuel hopper in its class. Stainless steel is also used in the combustion chamber, enabling a 10-year guarantee to be offered. To respond to varying log quality, the LogWIN has thermal and lambda probes which constantly monitor and optimise burning efficiency and reduce maintenance intervals. Outputs range from 13 to 50 kW, and these boilers will pass through standard door openings.

Windhager also offers pellet storage and feeding equipment and accumulator tanks. Solar energy inputs can be supplied.

Detailed training on biomass systems is available at the company’s UK base in Chippenham.
