Emerson introduces new approach to cooling computer-rooms and data centres

Emerson Network Power

Emerson Network Power has introduced a computer-room cooling unit that is installed between the racks in server rooms and data centres from 1 to 100 m2. Liebert CRV units can be integrated into any IT layout from two to 30 racks and adapt their operation and, therefore, power consumption to actual requirements.

‘These units draw in air from the hot aisle, filter and condition it and deliver it to the cold aisle to the front of the servers and other IT devices. Adjustable airflow guides can direct air to the left, to the right or in both directions.

‘These units can also be used in larger data centres to eliminate hot spots for, say, high-density racks.

‘Liebert CRV units are available with cooling capacities from 22 to 36 kW for direct-expansion versions and 44 kW for chilled-water versions.
