Emerson Network Power introduces new solutions for data centres

Emerson Network Power has introduced a family of intelligent, integrated infrastructure system for data centres. Smart Solutions are described as bringing to- gether best-of-breed technologies and industry best practices to enable cost-effective management of capacity, efficiency and availability through interoperable systems configured to speed implementation, adapt to change and reduce costs.

As part of the family, Emerson has also introduced SmartRow, SmartMod and SmartAisle.

SmartRow supports up to 20 kW of IT equipment in an enclosed, multi-rack configuration with integrated power, cooling, infrastructure management and fire suppression. The configuration can reduce initial capital costs by about 10% and energy costs by up to 30%.

SmartMod is an intelligent, integrated infrastructure in a rapid-deployment enclosure. It can be used to supplement existing capacity of as a standalone, remote data centre or disaster recovery site.

SmartAisle (illustrated) can increase efficiency and provide flexibility through row-based infrastructure for new and existing data centres. The simplified modular design enables equipment costs to be reduced, the use of existing infrastructure optimised, stranded capacity freed up, and energy consumption reduced by up to 30%.
