University reduces energy costs with Danlers lighting controls

Danlers

Oxford Brookes University has significantly reduced its energy costs since installing Danlers electronic time lag switches in the communal areas of several residential buildings.

Time lag switches reduce costs by turning off the load automatically after a time period has elapsed — ensuring loads are not left on unnecessarily. In six months, the time that lights were left on was reduced by 2858 h, producing a significant saving.

Peter Quigley, service design engineer on the project said, ‘With Danlers controls fitted, the savings in energy have been considerable.’
