Weatherite pledges support for energy efficiency of data centres
Weatherite Building Services has adopted a new European initiative designed to improve energy efficiency in data centres and has been awarded official endorser status. The EU code of conduct on the energy efficiency of data centres is a voluntary initiative and focuses on two main areas: IT capacity available for power consumed (IT load) and facilities that support the IT load, such as cooling systems, power distribution units and uninterruptible power supplies.
To help reduce energy consumption, Weatherite has developed packaged free-cooling systems that utilise freely available outside air.

Our adoption of the new EU code of conduct means that data-centre managers and developers can have complete confidence in our abilities to help them achieve their energy and CO2 objectives.’
