Energy Saving Trust approves retrofit LED lamp

GE Lighting’s 4 W GU10 retrofit LED lamp is said to be the first to gain approval by the Energy Saving Trust’s product certification scheme. It has a rated life of 15 000 h and uses 80% less energy than the lamps it replaces.

Designed to replace reflector lamps conforming to international sizes and shapes, these lamps meet a range of criteria set by EST. They include beam angle, candela, colour rendering, power factor, colour temperature and physical size and shape. Its performance has been verified by third-part test laboratories.
