Fire detectors for ductwork

System Sensor Europe, ductwork, fire detection

System Sensor Europe has introduced a range of fire detectors for square and circular ductwork. The InnovairFlex range consists of conventional and addressable versions using optical detectors. Both ranges are said to offer class-leading false-alarm rejection through a combination of advanced hardware and software engineering.

The design of the sensor cover enables these detectors to monitor ducts with air velocities from 0.5 to 20 m/s without an associated false-alarm risk. Both versions can have a module fitted into the unit to control ancillary equipment.

The housing is made of two hinged interconnected sections, enabling them to be installed in rectangular or square ducts.

For ease of installation, the air-sampling tubes can be installed, replaced or removed from the front or rear of the unit. There is a large termination area for cables.
