Polypipe launches complete MVHR system solution

Polypipe Ventilation, MVHR

Polypipe Ventilation’s HR01 MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) units are Energy Saving Trust best-practice compliant and SAP Q rated. Air extracted from the kitchen or bathroom passes through an efficient counter-flow heat exchanger, which transfers heat to incoming fresh air. Over 92% of the 600 W of heat that is extracted from the average bathroom can be recovered. This air is exhausted twice an hour.

These units are said to be among the quietest on the market. They are lightweight and compact, so they can be installed in kitchen eye-level cupboards or lofts. They are available with a Summer bypass facility that helps reduce running costs during the warmer months.

When used with Polypipe’s Domus ducting, guaranteed whole-system performance can be achieved thanks to the exacting manufacturing tolerances of the duct system providing a uniform profile with a superior fit for reduced air leakage. This removes any specifier uncertainty associated with poor-quality ducting which can be badly installed.
