Mothercare chooses JS air curtains

JS Air Curtains
Comtesse air curtains from JS Air Curtains are among three types installed at over 50 Mothercare stores in the UK

Over 50 air curtains have been installed by high-street retailer Mothercare to help improve comfort and energy efficiency in many of its UK stores. Supplied by JS Air Curtains, they were installed by Adcrest. Most installations use the stylish Comtesse to protect shop fronts, Standesse for staff entrances and Finesse for stores with suspended ceilings.

Comtesse units (illustrated) have an attractive oval design and fast-acting electric heating that reaches temperature in just 15 s. A PID control system activates the heating only when necessary, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 25% compared to regular air curtains.

Standesse air curtains have an output of up to 1.2 m3/s and up to 18 kW of heat to protect entrances up to 4 m high from incoming cold air. They can be installed vertically beside a door or horizontally above and are available in lengths of 1, 1.5 and 2 m.
