Flakt Woods introduces scrappage scheme for fans

Flakt Woods, fan, scrappage

Flakt Woods’ scrappage scheme for fans offers a 10% discount to customers replacing old fans with the environmentally friendly Twist Wing fan. The company also guarantees to completely recycle the old fan. The scrappage scheme is particularly suited to kitchen ventilation, as restaurant owners are responsible for energy consumption.

To enable foot-mounted IE2 energy-efficient motors to be used, Flakt Woods has developed a mounting configuration that enables high fan efficiency to be maintained. Legislation to increase the efficiency of electric motors will come into force in 2011, so the increasing need to incorporate the minimum-efficiency IE2 motors means that the traditional pad-mounted motors used by Flakt Woods will be replaced with foot-mounted versions.
