Marco, which makes steel-wire cable tray and uPVC cable-management products, has gained the environmental standard ISO14001. This accreditation demonstrates company-wide commitment to the environment through various schemes to reduce waste, reuse material and recycle where possible.

Managing director Ian McGregor says, ‘This is a fantastic achievement and a result of many months of dedication to bringing people’s awareness to environmental issues.

‘We want to change the way people think in work and encourage them to consider how they as individuals can contribute to positive environmental change within the business. Following the process of accreditation, we recycle much more and every employee has gone through a briefing showing them how to work in an environmentally friendly way.’
