Vertical transport in buildings

CIBSE has published a new edition of Guide D ‘Transportation systems in buildings’. It offers a wealth of information and recommendations affecting the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and renewal of vertical transportation systems.

The guide has been fully updated and brought into line with the latest codes and standards. There is an extensive revision to the guidance on traffic planning, significantly expanded information on energy efficiency and conservation, and updated guidance on the effective commissioning, maintenance and testing of lifts and escalators.
