Hoppe handles energy savings with ease

Hoppe, lighting, lamp replacement
The simple conversion from SON to metal-halide lamps at Hoppe in Wolverhampton was achieved with kits from Venture Lighting.

A simple replacement of lamps and control gear in the factory of Hoppe (UK) in Wolverhampton is achieving energy savings worth about £5000 a year. The company makes door and window handles and replaced 250 W high-pressure sodium lamps (SON) with 200 W Uniform Pulse Start metal-halide lamps and control gear from Venture Lighting.

The SON lamps were in need of an upgrade, and electrical wholesaler Lockwell suggested Venture Lighting’s 200 W conversion kits, which include lamp, ignitor, ballast and capacitor.

The lower wattage reduced energy consumption with no compromise in illumination levels.
