BSRIA’s guide on embodied carbon presents 1800 records of embodied carbon for 35 classes of material in a way that can be readily used in calculations. This inventory has been collated from independent sources and open literature and rigorously analysed to give users confidence in the reliability of the values.

In line with the recent report from the Low Carbon Construction Innovation & Growth Team, the report explains why it is necessary to account for embodied carbon in construction.
