MoD takes up an efficient approach to providing liquid refreshments

Zip Hydrotap, drinks, boiling water
Boiling and chilled water are provided efficiently and conveniently in a new MoD building in Liverpool by Zip HydroTaps.

Boiling hot and chilled filtered water for the 530 staff of the Ministry of Defence at Walker House in Liverpool are provided by 10 Zip HydroTaps on all three floors of this refurbished landmark building next to Liverpool’s Town Hall. At the MoD’s previous building in Mersey House, staff were provided with water fountains and fridges for chilling cold drinks. Drinking fountains are no longer required, and there are fewer fridges.

Lynn McCaldon, information manager at Walker House, says, ‘People have readily adapted to using the HydroTaps and really like them for their ease of use and versatility.’

There are two HydroTaps on the ground floor, which houses the training facility and a break-out area for staff. The other two floors each have four HydroTaps in break-out areas serving the large open-plan offices.
