Darts-playing plumber secures sponsorship from Uponor

Uponor

Fresh on the back of securing a place in the Professional Darts Corporation’s Premier League, professional plumber Mark Webster has gained a new sponsor. Underfloor-heating and plumbing specialist Uponor has signed a 12-month deal to sponsor the 2008 world champion, including player appearances and shirt sponsorship.

He is one of only eight players who will take part in the 2011 Premier League, thanks to his recent success in the World Championship where he knocked out Phil Taylor to reach the semi-finals and the World Cup of Darts, where he reach the final with fellow Welshman Barry Bates.

Uponor’s applications manager Richard Haworth tells us that Mark Webster’s plumbing knowledge make him the ideal personality to be associated with the company’s brand. He says, ‘Thanks to its huge TV and live audiences, darts provides us with the ideal platform to reach our target audiences and communicate the benefits of Uponor systems and solutions.’
