Wireless controller brings new levels of efficiency

Glow-worm, BMS, BEMS, programmable room thermostat

The first of Glow-worm’s next generation of intelligent controls is a wireless radio-frequency programmable room thermostat, the Climapro2 RF. This intuitive controller replace the Climapro RF and is a 2-channel wireless device with time and temperature control of central heating and hot water.

The intuitive new menu system makes it quick and easy to use. All program information is in clear text on a large back-lit display. It offers variable temperature settings for central-heating time periods and timed on/off periods for hot water. There is an over-ride feature for both heating and hot water.

The control unit itself is about the size of a mobile telephone and slides out of the wall-mounted holder.

This controller is ideal for installing with Glow-worm’s Ultracom2 high-efficiency range of boilers. The receiver slots neatly on top of the electronics box inside the boiler and enables house builders to qualify for extra SAP points.

For maximum efficiency, the controller can be paired with Glow-worm’s new wireless outdoor sensor, which uses sunlight to charge built-in photo-voltaic cells, so it does not need batteries.
