Distribution boards can have integral energy meters installed

Wylex, submetering, sub-metering, distribution board

In response to the requirement in Part L2 of the Building Regulations to meter energy usage in non-domestic buildings, Wylex has launched a range of modified distribution boards rated at 125 A. The NHTN range can be fitted with a multi-function digital kWh meter within the enclosure.

To complement this range, a meter pack is available to enable a contractor to easily install an incoming standard check meter or MID-certified meter (for monitoring the resale of electricity). The pack includes everything needed to fit and connect the internal meter into the new board — including a DIN rail mounting plate, multi-function kWh meter, three current transformers and three protection fuses. There is also a complete numbered wiring loom and connections.
