Duct silencers are treated to reduce microbial growth

Polypipe Ventilation, Microban, duct silencer

Polypipe Ventilation has incorporated anti-microbial properties into its duct silencers for life-long clean, fresh ventilation systems. The company’s systems are designed to provide energy-efficient ventilation of light-commercial and domestic applications. These silencers absorb a wide range of frequencies to reduce traffic noise, noise from the ventilation fan and room-to-room cross talk by as much as 50 dB(A).

Microbial protection is provided by adding Microban to duct silencers. Recent tests have shown 250 times less bacterial malodour than unprotected samples. Microban does not include VOS and is a non-formaldehyde formulation compliant with environmental standards such as RoHS.

Reducing noise from ventilation systems can help ensure they are kept running rather than turned down or off because of excessive noise.

These duct silencers are available in lengths of 0.5, 1 and 1.5 m depending on the performance required and the space available.
