H2O meets SuperFlo

Durapipe, plastic pipe
Contractor H2O has found an alternative for copper for cold-water pipework in apartments with Durapipe’s SuperFlo system.

Contractor H2O Plumbing & Heating Services now uses Durapipe’s SuperFlo pipework system as the standard specification for cold-water following its successful application in a new apartment development. Also, compared with copper, this plastic system overcomes the risk of thefts from site.

H2O routinely uses the SuperFlo system to connect boosted cold-water supplies from the main tank room in apartment developments and then on to each apartment to serve cold-water requirements.

Steve Ellison, H2O’s managing director, says, ‘As a company that regularly deals with different products and materials, it is extremely rewarding to come across a product that we can confidently supply to a host of developments that we are working on. We are extremely pleased with the product.

‘We had a bad experience with copper thefts before we discovered that a high-performing plastic alternative was available from Durapipe.’

SuperFlo offers a 50-year design life and is available in sizes from 16 to 315 mm.
