Johnson Controls introduces new range of York heat pumps

Johnson Controls, York heat pump

Johnson Controls has launched the third generation of heat pumps with multiple scroll compressors, the York YLPA range of air-to-water heat pumps. Three sizes offer heating outputs from 350 to 555 kW and cooling from 340 to 530 kW using R410A. They exceed the requirements of Eurovent A-class certification in both heating and cooling modes and are more efficient at part load.

Efficiency has been improved by minimising the impact of the defrost cycle. These units can heat water to above 45°C with an outdoor temperature down to -10°C, minimising the need for a support boiler.

There are standard- and high-efficiency ranges with noise levels of 58 dB(A) or lower at 10 m. These low noise levels are achieved by enclosing all the compressors in one acoustically sealed enclosure.

COPs for heating range from 3.11 to 3.28. ESEERs in cooling are from 4.0 to 4.4.
