College students have clear view of Heydal kitchen ventilation

Britannia, kitchen ventilation
A clear view of activity in this demonstration kitchen at Belfast Metropolitan College from the high-level tiered seating at the back is provided by the low profile of Britannia’s Heydal system.

Britannia’s Heydal kitchen ceiling system has been installed in the new Belfast Metropolitan College for its ability to give students a clear view of the demonstration area. One of the many kitchens in the campus is for demonstration purposes, with galleried seating so students can witness live cooling demonstrations.

The low profile of the Heydal system provides effective ventilation without compromising the aesthetics of the facility.

To overcome the potential for odour nuisance and grease carry over to the ductwork, Britannia’s Ultrastream UV filtration is included, housed in easily accessible reaction chambers.

Ultrastream breaks down organic matter in extracted air, reducing odours and grease carry over to the ductwork system. This technology significantly reduces fire risk in the building and the frequency of duct cleaning required.
