This solar PV installation on a Methodist church in Kidderminster is expected to generate an annual tax-free income of £1425 from the Feed-in Tariff.

A Methodist Church in Kidderminster is expected to export 8 MWh of electricity a year following the installation of a solar PV system by Eco2Solar. The project for Dale Street Methodist Church was financed by interest-free loans from members of the congregation, which will be repaid from the £1425 tax-free annual income expected from the Feed-in Tariff.

The installation comprises 39 Suntech panels with an output of 250 W each and a Fronius IG120 inverter.

The church’s property steward Andrew Emm says, ‘We have already seen the system running as high as 70% in just Winter sunshine. We were confident to work with Eco2Solar knowing that our 100-year-old slate roof was in safe hands.’

Paul Hutchens, managing director of Eco2Solar, adds, ‘We are delighted to support the church and its congregation. It is always very rewarding to be part of a project where the community has invested so much valuable time, care and money.’
