Titon meets school ventilation needs

Delivering the ventilation requirements for refurbishment projects at Chelmer Valley High School are Titon 40 SF ventilators and canopies installed in aluminium-framed replacement windows.

Surface-mounted slot vents from Titon were installed during refurbishment work at Chelmer Valley High School in Chelmsford to deliver the required rates of air change. The 40 SF high-performance ventilators and canopies have been installed on the performing-arts block and the home-economics lab. They have also been installed as part of the development of a new sixth-form centre.

These vents and canopies were specified by glazing and cladding specialist Prism Architectural. Project manager Mike Thompson said, ‘The Titon products were chosen because of their ability to deliver the required rates of air change, which is a major priority for large-scale public buildings such as Chelmer Valley High School. We received excellent support and advice from Titon throughout the specification and installation.’

For use on aluminium or PVCu windows, the SF vent fits over a 13 mm slot and provides an equivalent area of up to 6200 mm2 when fitted with an SF canopy.
