Trend’s latest touchscreen

The latest addition to Trend Controls’ IQView range of touchscreen displays is the IQView8. It has an enhanced and intuitive display to enable users to access and act upon energy-management information instantly, which can have a significant effect on energy bills and costs.

Trend comments that even buildings designed to be highly efficient will not necessarily be used efficiently and that at least half of the energy used in a building is directly influenced by the way occupants use it.

An IQView8 in a high-visibility area will enable occupants to see the negative effect that actions such as opening windows, adjusting thermostats and switching on heaters has on energy efficiency. It also enables the user to view and adjust operating times, monitor alarms and adjust control parameters.

However, the most noticeable feature is the use of schematics to provide real-time information such as temperature, humidity, set points etc. from the system.

IQView8 can receive alarms from other Trend devices, where they appear on a special display; an audio-visual indication of the alarm is given. Access to information can be restricted to certain people.

It has a stylish appearance to complement modern offices. With IP65 protection against the ingress of dust and water, it can be located in kitchens and plant rooms. A temperature rating from -10 to +60°C enables this display to operate in a wide variety of environments.
