Solar PV anchors are designed for UK roofs

The installation of solar PV panels is said to be much easier and more reliable using stainless-steel roof anchors that have been purpose designed and developed for UK roof by a UK manufacturer. REDtip roof anchors are available from PV trade specialist Solar Seller. They have recently been used on a roof-mounted solar PV array at the BRE.

REDtip roof anchors reduce the need for the grinding or cutting of slates and tiles and feature hooks designed specially for plain or rosemary tiles, large-format flat tiles, profiled pan tiles and slates typically used in the UK.

To complement these anchors, REDtip purpose-designed mounting rails, also made in the UK, for tiled roofs (ExpressRail) and profiled sheet roofs (SwiftRail) further simplify on-site PV installation. The REDtip range features a tough wrap-around jointing plate and easily assembled module clamps.

A core range of four anchors meets the specific requirements of over 80% of pitched roofs in the UK. They are expected to be one of the first roof anchors to receive MCS product accreditation.
