Imtech wins place on Re:Fit programme

Imtech, Re:Fit

Imtech UK has won a place on the Greater London Authority’s multi-million Re:Fit framework (public buildings retrofit programme). This award-winning programme of the Mayor of London provides a commercial model for public bodies wishing to implement energy-efficiency improvements to their buildings or estate, which can include local energy generation.

The scheme uses selected energy-services companies (ESCos) such as Imtech UK to identify and implement energy-conservation measures to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and, ultimately, running costs.

The framework is for a 48-month period, where Imtech will guarantee a set level of savings over the payback period of the energy-conservation measures implemented on the Re:Fit projects that they are awarded.

The current Re:Fit pipeline of work includes retro-fitting over 400 public-sector buildings.

Jim Steele, Imtech UK’s CEO, says, ‘This opportunity with the GLA aligns fully with our strategic growth plans within the energy sector and enables Imtech to create real added value through the integration of numerous sustainable solutions and energy-efficiency measures.’
