Enphase brings micro-inverters to UK market

Enphase, Solar PV, micro-inverter, renewable energy

Enphase Energy, a major supplier of micro-inverters for solar PV systems in the USA now offers micro-inverters to the UK market. M215 micro-inverters considerably improve the performance and reliability of solar PV systems, while also simplifying the design and installation procedures for the entire solar system.

One of the key points of using micro-inverters to convert DC electricity from the panels to grid-synchronised AC electricity is that if one panel suffers reduced output or some other problem the rest of the array is not affected.

These micro-inverters work with most 60-cell solar modules and have a 20-year limited warranty. They are certified for installation in the UK and conform to UK standard ENA G83/1-1.

The associated Envoy gateway and Enlighten software enable the performance of a system and every panel in it to be viewed using a web browser, smart phone, tablet etc. Communication is 2-way, and a user’s router provides the capability for monitoring this information from anywhere in the world.

Paul Nightingale, UK managing director, says, ‘The powerful combination of increased performance and safety benefits that Enphase technology and lifetime monitoring included creates an ideal solution for the UK solar market’s needs. My focus is on creating a sustainable business for Enphase in the UK that is recognised for quality, innovation, service and reliability.’
