Water treatment protects against legionella

Energy Management has introduced the Imeca legionella-control system to the UK market. The system provides continuous protection against micro-organisms in water systems and has been proven to be effective against viruses, fungi, spores, micro-plasma and bacteria — including legionella and pseudomonas.

It is effective at temperatures from 4 to 80°C and suitable for use in hot and cold water systems — including potable.The system is made by MAV of Germany. A powerful disinfection agent is added to the water system as a dilute solution, which is effective against micro-organisms, whilst being non-toxic and not irritating to people and animals. Its use allows water to be stored at lower temperatures.
