Water-cooled chillers have variable speed
Carrier’s Aquaforce range of water-cooled chillers and heat pumps with Greenspeed technology incorporate variable-speed inverter-driven screw compressors. This new range is based on the AquaForce series and offers improved performance for variable-load buildings. Annual energy consumption for buildings with a variable cooling load can be reduced by up to 30% compared with a fixed-speed chiller.
Aquaforce with Greenspeed technology features the streamlined Touch Pilot control, a new generation of Carrier product-integrated controls. Touch Pilot has a user-friendly colour touchscreen interface with enhanced web capability and easy access to all parameters from a clear single-screen display.
Application of these chillers includes heating systems, chilled-water systems with high water pressure head, and variable-water-flow applications.
The return on investment is said to be less than two years compared to traditional alternatives.
