PhotonStar CEO named entrepreneur of the year

Entrepreneur of the Year — James McKenzie of LED lighting specialist PhotonStar.

Dr James McKenzie, CEO of PhotonStar LED Group, which designs and makes smart LED lighting solutions has been named entrepreneur of the year at the 2013 New Energy & Cleantech Awards. He co-founded PhotonStar in 2007 and has led the group’s continued growth and expansion from its first product range to listing on AIM (Alternative Investment Market) in 2010 and the launch of its flagship ChromaWhite technology in 2011.

This award is given in recognition of pioneering products, sales and profit growth, and market penetration. The winner is considered to be a successful innovator in the clean energy and cleantech space which has effectively advanced its business more effectively than its rivals.
