CIBSE guide to psychrometry

A guide to practical psychrometry (KS20) has been added to CIBSE’s online knowledge portable. It is essential reading for those involved in designing and operating systems such as air conditioning that achieve comfortable environments for building occupants.

Problems caused by moisture have revealed a tension between efforts to make buildings more airtight and the need to increase ventilation — in Passivhaus design, for example. A more holistic strategy may be needed to ensure a balance between the two.
