Four intrepid oarsmen from Daikin Airconditioning, 360 Engineering and Eventemp (Midlands) and cox Hazel Shackleton, of Daikin, won the men’s 500 m sprint in the recent corporate regatta organised by 4-times Olympic gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent. The event was held at Dormey Lake near Windsor and gave competitors from companies in the south east first-hand knowledge of the training and teamwork required to succeed at this exhausting sport. The event was open to mixed teams with no previous experience.
