SunSolar prepares to produce solarPV in UK

SunSolar Energy of Birmingham and Meyer Burger are collaborating to set up the production of solarPV panels at Oldbury near Birmingham. Production is due to start in the third quarter of 2013 with a capacity of 35 MW a year. Capacity will be ultimately be increased to 135 MW.

The factory will create around a hundred new jobs covering manufacturing, R&D, support, sales and marketing, administration and logistics.

SunSolar Energy is part of a group of family businesses that have been operating for over 40 years. The group employs over a thousand people and has a turnover in excess of £50 million.
