Making this road-going electric van run by the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust even green is it being charged by electricity from a CHP plant managed by Dalkia. The van transports laboratory and blood samples between the two hospitals and can travel about a hundred miles before it needs recharging at the Royal Liverpool Hospital’s charging point.

Dalkia designed and installed the 5.3 MW(e) CHP plant and also operates and maintains it.
