Analogue control goes digital

Priva
An analogue control system at Emcor UK has been upgraded to a building-management system using a Priva system.
When facilities-management Emcor UK needed to upgrade its analogue control system, its systems specialist Independent Building Solutions recommended Priva Building Intelligence. Marcus Isaacson, service and small-works manager at IBS, explains, ‘The Priva building-management system offered a cost-effective solution, with the capability of a quick turnaround. ‘The simplicity and automated features of the engineering package minimised the duration of the software engineering and produced a front-end user interface, via TC Vision, with minimal effort and cost. The client now has a useful and practical software window into the BMS, where normally a basic operator panel, accessible only by the maintenance staff, would be used.’ TC Vision is one of a suite of software from Priva Top Control. Top Control is based on a comprehensive library of freely configurable control modules for virtually every kind of equipment and installation found in a building. Each module comes complete with graphics and detailed descriptions that adjust automatically to the selected configuration.
