CDL and Toshiba sponsor charity football match

Cool Designs Ltd (CDL) and Toshiba Air Conditioning have helped raise £327 000 for charities in the north east of England by sponsoring a star-studded football match to say farewell to Newcastle United’s Steve Harper (centre in photo). The match against Milan Glorie was played at St James’ Park.

The Newcastle team included Peter Beardsley, Les Ferdinand, Joe Barton, Nikos Dabizas, Shay Given, Faustino Asprilla, Rob Lee, John Beresford, Lee Bowyer, Nicky Butt and Nolberto Solano. The match was decided on penalties, and the trophy was presented to Milan by Darrel Birkett of Cool Designs Ltd and David Dunn of Toshiba Air Conditioning (left in photo). Also pictured (right) is Chris Oldroyd of CDL.
