CP brings advanced lighting control to refurbishment project

CP Electronics, lighting control
Energy-efficient lighting control for this refurbishment project is provided by CP Electronics’ Rapid system.

CP Electronics’ Rapid lighting-control system played a large part in a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating being awarded to a refurbished office development near Covent Garden in central London. The work at One Southampton Street includes the refurbishment of eight office floors averaging 315 m2 and set as mainly open-plan offices. There is also a new entrance and reception area, along with the relocation of plant areas.

The Rapid system is fully addressable and networkable, and has a graphical user interface. Modular controls are networked on each floor, with multi-floor layouts linked using Rapid area controllers.

Light-level sensors enable artificial lighting to be controlled according to the daylight available.

Scene setting is provided for areas such as meeting rooms.

The lighting-control system was supplied and installed by Designer Group of Hammersmith.
