CDL puts training videos on YouTube

CDL, Cool Designs, air conditioning

Cool Designs has launched an on line video training programme to update the skills of air-conditioning installers and service engineers. There are over 20 titles to date covering topics on installation, commissioning, trouble-shooting and servicing indoor and outdoor units for various models in the Toshiba range.

Titles also cover how to access operational data from air-conditioning system as an aid to optimising performance and improving energy efficiency.

With the growing importance of minimising refrigerant leaks from equipment, there is a training module giving an overview on Toshiba’s various options. In the event of a leak, the system can be configured to isolate a specific circuit or room but enable the rest of the system to continue operating. Other options include pumping down the refrigerant or stopping the system.

David Birkett, managing director of CDL, says, We have invested in making the films professional, clear and impactful, so that people can benefit and remember information. It is available 24/7 and can be accessed by engineers with a smart phone working on site exactly when they need it.’

More titles are being prepared to cover topics such as setting up and configuring Toshiba heat exchangers; commissioning, servicing and fault finding for VRF systems.
