LST radiators for prisons and health care

BSS, space heating, heat emitter, riopanel, LST

BSS’s BOSS Riopanel Aegis range of low-surface-temperature radiators has been designed to conform to NHS guidelines and comply with existing standards for LST units. They are also NOMs approved (National Offender Management Service) for used in HM prisons.

Features which suit these radiators to prisons include prisoners not being able to stand on them to jump off. These radiators cannot be ripped from the wall or accessed in any way to hide contraband items. Torx head screws are used.

The rounded profile also prevents these radiators being used as a surface for food and drink, eliminating subsequent clean-up costs— reducing the risk of cross contamination in health applications.

Rounded corners reduce the risk of injuries if people fall or hit the edges of the case.

These radiators are available in floor- or wall-mounted versions in lengths from 600 to 2000 mm and heights from 500 to 800 mm for wall-mounted units and 600 to 800 mm for floor-mounted models.

They are also quick to install — just 7.22 minutes according to a YouTube video.

Finish is a powder coat white RAL 9010, and that range comes with a 10-year warranty.
