Bristan bath filler is designed for thermal safety and cleaning

Bristan, bath filler, TMV3, thermostatic mixing valve

The Opac bath mixer tap from Bristan includes an integrated TMV3 valve to limit the maximum delivery temperature. It is also cool to the touch and shuts off automatically if the hot or cold water supply fails. Applications include healthcare, social housing and other sectors where public safety is important.

The key innovation of the Opac bath filler is the easy maintenance isolation and flush mechanism that is integral to the tap. It enables the mixed-water passage to be flushed with hot water without time-consuming disassembly. Maintenance engineers can carry out a hot-water thermal disinfection simply by opening the hot or cold valve as required with the simple turn of two grub screws. This capability enables the tap to be cleaned in less than 10 minutes, rather than up to an hour.

The Opac bath filler has a wall-fitting system that makes it easy to install — first time and retrofit.

Chris Tranter, product manager with Bristan, comments, ‘Following the huge success of our Opac bar show last year, there was a natural demand to extend the offer with the introduction of an easy-flush bath filler.’
