Schneider Electrical adds electrical systems to SmartStruxure

Schneider Electric has added the management of electrical systems, Power Manager, to its SmartStruxure solution. The new capabilities include power monitoring and energy accounting. There is the potential to reduce energy consumption by up to 30%.

Power Manager enables non-critical electrical networks to be better monitored, managed and optimised from a single interface.

Users can quickly and easily create attractive dashboards for the data that is the most important to their organisations. The dashboards can display any unit, show energy-usage comparisons, breakdowns or improvements. They can be shared.

Another feature is to provide health checks of the electrical system and indicate when there is an electrical problem.

There is also direct access to data from power meters, breaker trip units and protection relays.

One-line diagrams show animated breakers and busbars, enabling managers to quickly locate information and details related to alarms.
