Hiachi Air conditioning, VRF

Hitachi has updated and expanded its MultiZone range of indoor and outdoor air-conditioning units. Three models have been added to the range of outdoor units, taking it to eight models with capacities from 3.3. to 10.6 kW. There is also a 1.5 kW indoor unit, which is about 8% cheaper than the 1.8 kW model.

The whole range has improved ESEERs of up to 7.15 and SCOPs of up to 4.33, depending on the model. Those figures represent improvements in cooling performance of up to 18% and heating performance of up to 11%. Heating capacities are increased by up to 22% at -7°C ambient.

Sound levels are down by as much as 5 dB(A), with standby power consumption down by 8% in some cases.

Presence detection operates in two stages of 20 and 60 minutes to adjust heating or cooling temperatures to maximise energy savings.

Vertical and horizontal auto swing can be combined to circulate airflow around the room to avoid hot or cold spots.
