Trend’s new controller

BEMS, BMS, Trend Control Systems

Trend Control Systems has built on the success of its IQ4 range of controllers with the launch of the IQ4E range. Designed to build on the existing IQ2 and IQ3 ranges, IQ4 is available for 16, 32, 64, 96, 128, 160 and 192 points. The ability to upgrade between the point variants increases flexibility, and the increased processing performance enables the more-complex HVAC systems to be controlled.

IQ4E has improved I/O bus capabilities, with an available length of up to 300 m and the potential for 30 I/O modules to be configured. Backwards compatibility is designed in, so the IQ4 can communicate with any IQ1, 2 or 3 controller.

For the integrator, soft addressing of IQ4E’s I/O modules makes for easier commissioning and maintenance.

Trend has also introduced a new universal input/output module (8UIO). Every channel can be configured as a digital input, thermistor input, current input, voltage input or voltage output.
