Delivering energy-efficient ventilation for Barratt homes

Vortice, MVHR, ventilation, heat recovery, energy efficiency

Ventilation supplier Vortice has co-operated with Barratt contractor Linkwood Services to design and install Vortice HR200 Evo heat-recovery ventilation units in 189 new Barratt homes at Artisan place in Harrow. The ventilation systems are one of a number of energy-saving measures, including smart metering.

Andrew Dickinson, technical manager with Vortice, said, ‘It was a delight to see how well Linkwood Services was carrying out the ventilation installation. Our technical team had worked hard to specify the most energy-efficient ventilation design possible for Artisan Place, and Linkwood kept our master drawings on site so that their team could refer to them at all times.

‘Their use of self-seal ducting also made the job easier to install, and the householders will be rewarded by great energy efficiency.’
