Carrier updates AquaSnap heat pumps

Carrier, heat pump, chiller, air conditioning

Carrier’s latest generation of AquaSnap air-to-water scroll heat pumps with Greenspeed intelligence comes with a host of features. They include fans with variable-speed drives, brazed heat exchangers with asymmetric channels, electronic expansion valves and a full-colour touchscreen as a user interface.

30RQP AquaSnap heat pumps also include a defrosting method that does not use any additional energy, thereby improving the SCOP (seasonal coefficient of performance) by up to 12% compared with earlier AquaSnap models.

The built-in hydraulic modules have the option of variable-speed drives for the pumps to control water flow according to demand. Pumping energy consumption could be reduced by 65%.

The performance of these heat pumps already meets the 2017 European Ecodesign regulation — with an SCOP for heating of up to 3.38. For cooling the ESEER (European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is up to 4.28.

The range uses proven technology that Carrier service teams are familiar with and trained to maintain.
