Panasonic buffer tank boosts performance of Aquarea systems

Panasonic, Aquarea, space heating, heat pump, buffer vessel. buffer tank

Panasonic offers a 50 l buffer tank that can be used with Aquarea heat-pump applications as a volume extension vessel or low-loss header tank. Buffer tanks are used with air-source heat pumps to increase volume, provide storage and to prevent short cycling of the heat pump, thereby increasing system efficiency.

These buffer tanks have automatic air vents and are quick and easy to install on a wall.

MacDiaz, country manager for Panasonic Heating & Cooling, says, ‘We recommend the use of our 50 l buffer tank to ensure heat-exchange protection or temperature control logic is implemented. A 30 to 50 l tank is usually recommended to ensure the system volume is sufficient.’
